Jeff Kaiser's scholarship examines improvisation, virtuosity, and agency in music made with new, repurposed, and reinvented technologies. He holds a PhD in Integrative Studies (Music) from the University of California, San Diego, and writes across ethnomusicology, systems inquiry, music technology, music technology pedagogy, and creative practice — research that feeds directly back into his software and performance.
